Walt wrote a journal called The Diatom Project.
He and his wife Bonnie stayed up and online all night.
He was company to me on a lot of sleepless nights.
He always signed everything Bonnie and Mal...they were so close, they were like one person.
Mal was his online name.
He died a while back.

Yes, Walt & Bonnie were sweet people. I didn't know her, but of her thru Walt. I wonder how she is doing. I worry about her.
Walt did one his puzzle where my name was the answer. I was very honored
I had no idea he was so ill. Just goes to show what a good spirit he had.

bonnie had been ill for quite some time, and went to the hospital for several months about a year and a half ago. walt and bonnie were much as one, and altho she doesn't use the computer, walt would share with her the goings-on with folks online and he would write as tho they were writing together (because he often was representing and expressing the thoughts of both of them, as a couple). in march of this year, walt had a heart attack and all sorts of complications; bonnie and walt decided to go the route of hospice (at a nursing home) rather than continue to struggle thru with a poor quality of life. he died in april. bonnie misses him horribly, but she is doing quite well and her mental state has remained strong and shows no relapse into her difficulties of two years back. she doesn't use the computer, so doesn't continue the journals. however, i occasionally check the comments to the last entries in their journals and let bonnie know who might have said what (because she was aware of the folks that walt spoke with often, as he shared all with her and she with him). thanks so much for the visit to my journal and i hope that this update helps your regular readers who didn't have a chance to know walt have some knowledge of him and bonnie now. thanks again for letting me post like this. debra
