There are people who still persist in thinking we here in the southland are
crazy from the heat
married to our cousins
have no front teeth
and carry chewing tobaccy in our back pockets.
We never tell them its not true
because then they will all want to move here...
so when a guy from New York admired my yoga symbol necklace, saying"I didn't know you knew about Yoga down here"
I said,
"Whut? Yall aint never heared of Sweet Ohm Alabama?"

Well as a transplant I do sometimes have to laugh at some of the jokes, but then again I have to live with the "jump off the Brooklyn Bridge too?" ones. It's all good no matter where you are...love, SAndi

That was a good one! I didn't know you southerners had such a keen sense of humor! (Ha Ha! I'm a Yankee from Ohio who's lived knee deep in Georgia for 18 years, and I've come to realize that commingling is possible as long as you're stealthy about it! Plus I have an inside track--two of my three kids are natural Georgians!)
I kind of stumbled to the porch while visiting a friend, but it seems like a pretty nice place to visit. I think I'll come back again!
