Small Joys

Little things
pieces of my life's mosaic
Ordinary days
with small joys
to run through my fingers like rosary beads
Caitlin took me to lunch
and for a pedicure
ten toes
giggles
and just us girls
a memory to keep

Nice thoughts! All to often it seems that I'm as quilty, as many others are, of not holding dear the moment and looking to just get through it! I'm trying to find the things in each day that are the joy of living...while my husband mutters in the background..."there are lots of things worse than living" and I wonder and ask...What? Is living so bad??? I need to hear more positive things...Like tthese thoughts in your journal, Thankyou! Love2U

Awww, that was sweet! I almost did the same thing (pedicure) on my birthday, but put it off. I think I'll go either Monday or Tuesday. I love those foot and calf massages that come with the pedicure. Okay, you talked me into it. Definitely I am going. I don't have a daughter to go with, but I'm going anyway. I tried to talk myself and my sister into going for a pedicure at the spa resort where we stayed in Florida last week, but the cost was way out of our budget. I don't care how special I think I am, those prices are ridiculous! They were charging over a $100 for a pedicure, with wax treatment, and toenails painted. I can get that and more at a local place for under $35. And they do an excellent job! So glad you had a pleasant ordinary day! bea
