at the beach

Nothing is better than a day at the beach!

I get excited when we go over the bridge to the Island!

Ohh, the warm Gulf water cradles me like amniotic fluid...

the smell of the sea...we roll down the windows to see who can smell the salt first.

white sands like sugar...

It's always home to me.

At least once each trip , I say, "we live in Paradise".

I used to love that....seems like I can't smell salt anymore though.  My daughter is in Panama City Fla. so she is getting to know all about the Gulf.

Thank you for sharing what your senses took great delight in!

I could smell the suntan lotion way over here!

It sounds like paradise. It's just barely warm enough up here to do without a sweater. A friend of ours makes the same type of lemonade. He'd make a huge batch and take it with to Little League games. I drank more when Jon played Little League than any other time in my life. And yes, Mariah is beautiful. I love her name, too.

That made me laugh about the dog lead around your ankle, that's got me on the floor on more than one occasion, lol.

My experience with Gulf Coast beaches is limited to Crystal Beach and Galveston Island.  Though I have enjoyed some days there, the whole beach experience is not my favorite.  Jellyfish, tiny crabs, gritty sand rubbing into those delicate places.  I'm much more at bliss in green rich pastures with beautiful shade trees.  To each thier own!  -  Barbara
