My Favorite Things

This is just a random list of things that make me happy these days....
Mariah waking me up for school standing by my bed with my coffee...isn't that the sweetest?
My dog Jack running towards me when I call him like I am the most wonderful thing he has ever seen, his goofy grin with his tongue hanging out sideways....
Caitlin...so happy with her life, her feet barely touch the ground...
Technicolor flowers all around here growing wild....
trips to Stacey's house when we get up early for coffee, just the two of us...
baking with Caitlin, flour up to the ceiling and whoops of laughter.....
Intelligent thoughtful kids in my Sunday school class, who want to get rid of the curriculum and just talk....
sleeping with the windows open....
Tom and I laughing about something no one else would understand....
the smell of last fall's leaves when I rake them up to find new grass underneath....
sitting on the Porch reading the paper all morning in the sun....
Life is good.

Sounds like beautiful things to be happy about. I love that Mariah wakes you up with coffee, my youngest daughter does the same and doesn't it just start the day off on a perfect tone? You are blessed my friend~

I love your random list.  Those are good things to make you happy.  I'll tell you that one of my favorite things is my sweet four year old coming around the corner with whatever stuffed animal she slept with last night, telling me she slept good and so did the stuffy.

Life IS good. Your dog Jack sounds a lot like my Max... he always ran toward me, even before I got out of bed. If he heard me make any kind of sound as I stretched myself awake in the mornings, I could hear his collar tags jingle as he raced toward my room, pushed open the door with his paw, then he'd pause, wait until he heard me again. I'd make a sound because I knew he was waiting for some kind of invitation to come into the room (my husband forbid him to come into the bedroom, but Max knew if I gave the green light, it was okay!) Sound confirmed, he'd quietly walk around the bed to my side, then stand up on his two hind legs, his forepaws gripping the edge of the bed. His wet nose sniffing, his big dark eyes looking for my face, a low growl escaping his throat, his stub tail wagging. I'd laugh and embrace his adorable black face with my hands and give him a big hug and kiss. I treasure the memory of his companionship, his clutzy manner of barging into the house, his leaping into my lap and laying down immediately to settle in. His soft fur. Though I miss him, I am so glad for the memories. Bea

Wow, glad to see someone is in a good place in life.  I'm not quite there.  I hope good is contagious, 'cause I'm rubbin' this entry like crazy!
