Oh that is so true. I hear that meopause is hell, but so far I am loving it. No more pads or tampons and a better sex drive. I should have done this years ago!

Not me either. A period one month and then never again. No hot flashes, nothing. However I did pay the price before that with bad cramps and never knowing when the period would come. 30 days, 45, days. I know people would say why didn't you go to the doctor. My mother didn't drive, it was the 50's, small town, no doctor. i loooved menopause. Paula

Sounds like me.

I think I must have had the menopause. Nothing much happened, felt a bit hot a few times and before it all finished I had a few periods from hell, then ....nothing? For ages now (like, more than a year) Was that it?  Compared with the agony every month since my teens, it was a bit like winning the lottery. I suppose, in a fair world, there had to be some compensation for nearly 40 years of torture!

Hi Marti, I'm with you: I'd much rather have the inconvenience of the hot flashes (as I have been for a year now) than the monthly periods... by far! Hot flashes don't hurt like the cramps from periods, and of course, you don't have to buy feminine hygiene products for hot flashes. A simple piece of paper folded in half to use as a fan are all that is needed to fan away the brief (sometimes up to ten minutes) flashes of  heat. TOPUWOPS... that's funny! Yes, that too! bea
